What it is

Not every question can wait for your next scheduled supervision.

The Ad Hoc Supervision Hub is a space for occupational therapists to drop in, ask clinical questions, reflect on complex cases, and seek guidance in real time.

It’s flexible, professional supervision — designed for the realities of practice.

How it works

  • Weekly drop-in sessions hosted live via Teams

  • Bring a question, scenario, or ethical dilemma — or just listen and learn from peers

  • No long-term commitment — attend when you need support

  • Discounts when purchasing resources and templates

  • Community discussions

Who it’s for

  • OTs in private or public practice who need quick access to supervision between formal sessions

  • Sole traders or team leaders seeking reassurance, reasoning support, or a sounding board

  • Non-OT business owners employing OTs who want professional oversight for clinical queries

  • Any OT who values honest reflection and shared learning in a supportive space

Why it works

Because the real world of OT practice doesn’t always fit neatly into scheduled sessions.

FAQs

What is the cost of this membership? Membership to the OT Ad Hoc Supervision Hub is $25 per week. Your membership includes: * Access to weekly drop-in supervision sessions * The ability to ask ad hoc clinical or professional questions * Member discounts on templates and resources There are no lock-in contracts, and you can cancel any time.

How is this different from commenting in Facebook groups? It might look similar on the surface, although the TSP OT Ad Hoc Supervision Hub is intentionally different. In Facebook groups, questions can get lost in the noise, answers vary in quality, and it can be hard to know who to trust. In the Hub, your reflections and questions are met with timely, thoughtful, and evidence-informed guidance, focused purely on occupational therapy practice by an experienced supervisor. It’s also a private, psychologically safe space, free from judgment, algorithms, or self-promotion. Every member is there for the same reason: to reflect, learn, and grow. Think of it as your professional sounding board. A place where you can confidently ask the hard questions and receive grounded, experience-based insight, not a mix of opinions.

How do I record my time in the AHPRA CPD log? Participation in The Supervisionary Partnership – OT Ad Hoc Supervision Hub counts as continuing professional development under AHPRA’s requirements for occupational therapists. Because the Hub promotes reflection, clinical reasoning, and evidence-informed decision making, it falls within the AHPRA definition of “interactive, reflective, and self-directed learning activities.” Members can record their participation under categories such as: * Reflective practice and supervision * Professional discussion * Peer consultation * Case-based reflection How to log your time: * Record the date, topic or reflection, and key learning outcomes in your CPD log. * You can use the Supervision Record Template provided in the Hub to make this easy. * Estimate the duration of each drop-in session or reflection (e.g. “1 hour – group supervision and reflective discussion”). * If you post reflections or engage in written discussions within the Hub, you can also record that time as part of your CPD (e.g. 15–30 mins reflective discussion).

Can this replace my formal supervision? No. This group is designed to supplement, not replace, your existing supervision. Formal supervision provides the ongoing structure, accountability, and depth that every occupational therapist needs.
The Supervisionary Partnership – OT Ad Hoc Supervision Hub fills the gaps in between — when something comes up midweek, when you need to check your reasoning, or when you simply want to talk something through before making a decision. It’s also ideal when you’re between supervisors, when your supervisor isn’t available, or when you require more flexibility in your supervision arrangements. The OT Ad Hoc Supervision Hub offers accessible, real-time reflection and guidance so you can stay confident, supported, and connected in your practice — even when the timing isn’t perfect.

Is my privacy protected when I participate? Yes. Your privacy and professional safety are central to the Hub. All discussions occur within a confidential, members only community. Sessions are not recorded by default, and members agree not to share or reproduce any content, screenshots, or discussion outside the Hub. This creates a psychologically safe environment where you can reflect openly without fear of judgment or exposure. Your participation, questions, and reflections remain private — what’s discussed in the Hub stays in the Hub.

How is client privacy protected in the hub? Client privacy is central to how we work here. You are encouraged to de-identify all client information and focus on your reasoning, reflections, and learning needs rather than personal client details. Before posting or speaking in a session: * Remove names, phone numbers, email addresses, NDIS #, family details, addresses, workplaces, and service providers etc. * Generalise dates, ages and unique circumstances * Do not share documents, photos, or screenshots that could identify a person * Frame your question around the clinical issue and your reasoning, not the client’s story In-session safeguards: * Sessions are not recorded by default * Members agree to no screenshots, no sharing outside the hub * Facilitators will redirect any post or comment that risks identification Remember: you are responsible for protecting client privacy and complying with your employer policies, the Australian Privacy Principles, and your professional code of conduct.

What if I cannot attend each week? That’s completely fine — the OT Ad Hoc Supervision Hub is designed to be flexible. There’s no expectation to attend every week. You can drop in whenever you need support, want to talk something through, or feel ready to reflect. Many members use the Hub only when something specific comes up, while others attend regularly to stay connected and reflective. You can come as often or as little as your workload and needs allow. Even if you can’t make a live session, you’ll still have access to the community discussions, reflective prompts, and shared resources inside the Hub — so your professional growth continues, even when you can’t be there in real time.

Can my employer pay for my membership? Yes - absolutely. Many employers and organisations choose to cover the cost of the OT Ad Hoc Supervision Hub as part of their staff’s professional development or supervision support. Because participation in the Hub contributes to your ongoing reflective practice and clinical reasoning, it meets the criteria for professional development under most workplace and CPD policies. If your employer would like to pay directly, please contact Bek to discuss this further.
Alternatively, you can pay for your membership personally and claim it back as a professional expense or CPD deduction at tax time.

How do cancellations and refunds work? Membership in the OT Ad Hoc Supervision Hub is flexible — you can cancel at any time. There are no lock-in contracts or long-term commitments. Your membership will remain active until the end of your current billing period, and you won’t be charged again once you cancel. Because all Hub resources and discussions are accessible immediately after joining, refunds are not typically offered for past payments. However, if an error occurs during payment or you experience technical issues, please contact us — we’ll review it promptly and make it right. You’ll always have full control of your subscription through your member dashboard, and you’ll receive confirmation once your cancellation is processed.
